Episode 1: Not Evil, Just Broken"
Hebrew Thought vs.
Greek Influence Session 1: Introduction — Why Understanding Ra Matters
"Ra" ( רַע ) in Paleo-Hebrew and how they
reveal the original meaning: dysfunction, brokenness, and harm, not demonic evil.
They’re Function vs. Dysfunction To understand the Hebrew concepts of "Tov" (טוֹב) and "Ra" (רַע) as descriptions of function versus dysfunction, not moral goodness versus moral evil.
To show how the Hebrew Bible uses "Ra" (רַע) in real contexts to describe brokenness, dysfunction, and harm—not cosmic evil or demons.
Yetzer Hara — The Human Drive Toward Dysfunction
Today, we expose how Greek philosophy twisted the meaning of "Ra," replacing the Torah’s call to responsibility with fear-based dualism.
Objective:
To move from theory to action: understanding how to recognize and reject Ra (dysfunction) and consistently choose Tov (function) in real, everyday decisions.
Here’s exactly what Yhwh called Him:
1⃣ My Servant
“Behold My servant, whom I uphold…” — Isaiah 42:1
“My righteous servant shall justify many…” — Isaiah 53:11
✅ Title: Obedient one, chosen to walk out the covenant
Rahab (Joshua 2 & 6)
A Canaanite prostitute from Jericho.
She protected Israelite spies* and said: YHWH your Elohim—He is Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth beneath.
(Joshua 2:11)
Why This Doesn’t Fit with Hebrew Thought
No Hebrew Prophet Ever Used "Morning Star" for the Messiah
Nowhere in the Old Testament is the Messiah called "the morning star" (Helel).
The tone for King David’s time would be regal, poetic, and battle-hardened, yet deeply spiritual and reflective. It was a time of great conquests, divine anointing, political intrigue, and heartfelt psalms—a period of warriors, prophets, and kings where faith and destiny intertwined.
In the Hebrew text of Genesis 1:1 (בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ׃), the little word spelled אֵת (’et) is generally understood in Biblical Hebrew grammar as the definite direct object marker. In other words, it flags that “the heavens” (הַשָּׁמַיִם) and “the earth” (הָאָרֶץ) are the objects of the verb “created.”
Adam and Havah were not forced to disobey — they had free will. Yhwh gave clear instruction, yet He did not compel them. The serpent deceived, but the choice was theirs.
Before there was a chosen nation…
Before there were commandments on stone…
There was a world shattered by sin…
…and a promise…
…to restore all mankind.
“God Makes a Promise Bigger Than the Sky”
Genesis 15:1 to 21 1. Abram’s Fear, God’s Assurance (Genesis 15:1)
Abram is alone, growing older, still childless.
But God comes again and says:
“Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield. Your reward will be very great.”
Leviticus 16:8 – Day of Atonement
“And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for YHWH (God), and the other for Azazel.”
• Two identical goats — only God could choose between them.
• The high priest cast lots to determine which goat was sacrificed and which was sent into the wilderness.
of Worship | The Power of Praise Before God
Protestant Church & Royal Persecution (16th – 18th Century)

1572 AD: St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre — Thousands of French Huguenots killed by Catholic mobs.
🔥 The False Teaching (Greek Influence)
📕 1 Corinthians 6:3 (Paul wrote):
Forgetting YHWH’s Name
Many don’t use or even know YHWH’s name today. Here’s why:
Jewish Tradition: Out of reverence, Jews stopped pronouncing YHWH (often written as the Tetragrammaton, יהוה) aloud centuries before Jesus, substituting “Adonai” (Lord) or “HaShem” (The Name). This was carried into Greek translations like the Septuagint, which replaced YHWH with “Kyrios” (Lord).

Edessa: The First Kingdom of The Way — Distinct from Paul's Christianity
Historical Context
Before the term "Christian" was coined and long before the establishment of Constantine’s empire and the Roman church, there existed Edessa — a kingdom where both Jews and Gentiles reportedly followed “The Way” of Yeshua (Jesus), adhering to Torah teachings.
