🔥 Seven Scriptural Reasons YHWH Turns Away

Living in Sin Without Turning Back

📖 Isaiah 59:2
"But your sins have separated between you and YHWH, and your iniquities have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear."
➡️ If a person walks in rebellion and refuses to return, YHWH will turn His face away.

Rejecting the Torah But Still Praying

📖 Proverbs 28:9
"He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah — even his prayer is an abomination."
➡️ If someone refuses the instructions YHWH gave, their prayers are offensive — not accepted.

Lip Service Without Obedience

📖 Isaiah 29:13
"This people draws near with their mouth and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me, and their reverence toward Me is taught by the commandments of men."
➡️ Worship that follows man's religion instead of YHWH's Word is empty.
4️⃣

Unforgiveness and Bitterness

📖 Proverbs 24:17–18
"Do not rejoice when your enemy falls... lest YHWH see it and it displeases Him."
➡️ If a heart holds hate, revenge, or refuses to forgive — YHWH will not listen.

Asking While Ignoring Obedience

📖 Zechariah 7:6
"And when you ate and drank, was it not for yourselves you ate and for yourselves you drank?"
➡️ There is nothing wrong with asking YHWH for blessing — He gave wealth and honor to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Job. But when someone prays with no obedience, or only to serve their own will, YHWH will not hear.

Prideful and Self-Righteous Hearts

📖 Proverbs 16:5
"Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to YHWH."
➡️ YHWH listens to the humble — not those who exalt themselves.

Ignoring the Cry of the Needy

📖 Proverbs 21:13
"Whoever shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself — and not be heard."
➡️ If you ignore the weak and broken, your own cry will be ignored.

🚫 The Truth Is Clear

If someone wants YHWH not to hear them, they only need to:

  • ❌ Live in sin and refuse to turn
  • ❌ Reject the Torah
  • ❌ Offer empty prayers with no obedience
  • ❌ Hold onto unforgiveness
  • ❌ Walk in pride
  • ❌ Ignore the needy and suffering

But YHWH Will Hear You IF:

📖 2 Chronicles 7:14
"If My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways — then I will hear from the heavens and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Repent. Humble yourself. Return to YHWH.
Then He will listen. He will respond. And He will restore.
