History of:

🔹 1. Exile and a New Script (500s BC)
The story begins after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. The people of Yhwh were exiled to Babylon. There, they encountered the Aramaic square script — a blocky, imperial writing style used for government and trade.

The language of the Torah remained Hebrew, but scribes began writing the sacred text in this Aramaic-style script. Over time, it was called Ketav Ashuri (the "Assyrian script") — not because it came from Assyria, but because it was adopted during exile.

Important:
✔️ No vowels were added
✔️ Yhwh’s Name (יהוה) was preserved
✔️ Torah, Prophets, and Writings were copied in pure consonants

🔹 2. Ezra Restores the Scrolls (450–400 BC)
When Ezra returned from Babylon, he brought the Torah scrolls in this new script — Ketav Ashuri, still without vowels.
He read them aloud to the people (Nehemiah 8), teaching them to understand — showing that vowels were not needed in writing, only in speech.

This form became the official format for the Hebrew Bible during the Second Temple period.

🔹 3. The Word Spreads — Without Corruption (400–100 BC)
For centuries, this script was used to copy and teach the Torah faithfully.

The Dead Sea Scrolls (from 250 BC–50 AD) prove that the Torah, Isaiah, Psalms, and more were still being copied in this script

No vowel markings

No Greek influence

No "Lord" title — the Name of Yhwh still written directly: יהוה

This was the Bible of the faithful — of Torah keepers, of the Qumran community, and of those awaiting the Redeemer of Israel.

🔹 4. Yeshua Reads This Bible (30 AD)
In the synagogue of Nazareth (Luke 4), Yeshua is handed the scroll of Isaiah. That scroll was written in Early Square Script with no vowels — the same form found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

He read and taught from this Bible — the same one Ezra read from — not Masoretic, not Greek, not altered.
His followers — called The Way — continued using this Bible, reading Hebrew without added vowel rules, and keeping Yhwh’s commands.

Faithful communities still preserved the true Bible — consonants only, Yhwh’s Name untouched, Torah unchanged.

🔚 The Legacy Lives On
This Bible was:
✔️ The Bible of Ezra
✔️ The Bible of Yeshua
✔️ The Bible of The Way
✔️ Free of Greek, free of vowels, full of truth

Today, it stands as one of the only four trusted sources left. The others are Paleo-Hebrew, Dead Sea Scrolls, and Aramaic portions of Daniel and Ezra — all consonantal, all vowel-free, all faithful.
