Episode 4 – The Dream Visions

Weeks of History from 1 Enoch, Chapters 83-90
Enoch claims divine visions revealing all of history from creation to the final judgment in symbolic "weeks" and animal allegories. These prophecies predict the coming of a Messiah figure and the establishment of an eternal kingdom. But do these visions align with YHWH's revealed word in Torah and the Prophets? Or do they add to and contradict His established truth?
We believe these 6 Episodes (the stories in 1 Enoch) are false and do not belong to YHWH's true word.

The Dream Visions (Chapters 83–90) present two major prophetic dreams: the vision of judgment by flood and the comprehensive "Animal Apocalypse" that symbolically portrays all of history from Adam to the final judgment.

Critical Question: When claimed visions go beyond or contradict YHWH's established prophecies, how do we test their source and authority?

πŸ“… The Ten Weeks of History

Week 1: Adam to Enoch - righteousness and first revelation
Week 2: Noah and the flood - judgment on wickedness
Week 3: Abraham chosen - foundation of God's people
Week 4: Moses and the Law - divine instruction given
Week 5: Solomon's Temple - house of glory built
Week 6: Divided kingdom - apostasy and exile
Week 7: Apostasy increases - chosen generation arises
Week 8: Sword given to righteous - judgment on wicked
Week 9: Righteous judgment revealed to world
Week 10: Eternal judgment - new heaven and earth

How do these symbolic "weeks" compare to YHWH's established timeline in Torah and Prophets?

πŸ‚ The Animal Apocalypse

White Bulls: Adam, Seth, Noah - the righteous ancestors
Red Bull: Abraham - father of the chosen people
White Sheep: Isaac, Jacob, Israel - the covenant line
Black Sheep: Apostate Israelites who abandon YHWH
Wild Beasts: Gentile nations oppressing God's people
Shepherds: Angels or leaders who fail their duties
White Bull (final): The promised Messiah figure
All White Animals: The redeemed in the eternal kingdom

These symbolic interpretations claim divine authorityβ€”but do they align with YHWH's clear promises in Scripture?

"The secret things belong to YHWH our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." β€” Deuteronomy 29:29
"When a prophet speaks in the name of YHWH, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that YHWH has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously." β€” Deuteronomy 18:22

The Test of True Prophecy

YHWH established clear tests for prophetic claims in Torah. True prophecies must:

Question: Do these elaborate visions of history and judgment pass YHWH's tests for true prophecy?

Points to Consider:

"Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar." β€” Proverbs 30:5-6
