The Hebrew Truth About Life, Death, and Resurrection
Your ruach (רוח) means breath, wind, life-force — not a separate soul that thinks or acts without your body.
Key Point: Ruach is not a thinking entity separate from your body. It's the life-force that makes you alive when combined with your physical body.
Genesis 3:19 - Your physical form goes back to the earth from which it came
Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Your life-force/breath goes back to YHWH who gave it
You become unconscious. No thoughts. No memory. No praise.
This is why Scripture says:
When YHWH restores your breath (ruach) to your body, you wake up fully yourself.
Same person, same memory, restored physically.
YHWH designed life to require both body and ruach together. Without one, there is no life.
Your spirit is not thinking without your body — it's the life-force.
Like a lamp without electricity — it doesn't work.
Body + Ruach = Living Person
Body without Ruach = Dead
Ruach without Body = No conscious existence
You are a full person — body + ruach (breath)
When you die, you sleep (no memory, no thoughts)
When YHWH restores you, you awaken — fully you
YHWH doesn't make people obey, because He wants real choice when you are alive.
But once dead, you wait, silent, until He restores you.
"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake..." - Daniel 12:2
