Hebrew Bible Promises: Obedience = Blessing
YHWH's Message: Repent. Obey. Love Me. I will bless you.
Deuteronomy 28:1–2
"And it shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of Yhwh your Elohim, to observe and to do all His commands... all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you."
Deuteronomy 7:15
"And Yhwh will take away from you all sickness."
Exodus 15:26
"If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yhwh your Elohim, and do what is right in His eyes... I will put none of the diseases upon you... for I am Yhwh who heals you."
Deuteronomy 28:11–12
"And Yhwh shall make you abundant in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground... Yhwh shall open to you His good treasure... to bless all the work of your hand."
Proverbs 3:1–2, 8
"My son, forget not my Torah... for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you... It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones."
Greek New Testament: Suffering = Righteousness
Christianity's Message: Take up your cross. Suffer daily. Blessings are dangerous.
Luke 9:23
"Take up your cross daily."
2 Timothy 3:12 (Paul)
"All who follow Christ will suffer persecution."
Philippians 1:29 (Paul)
"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake."
Matthew 19:24
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
Church Teaching Today: Blessings = demonic. Poverty = holy. Health and success are dangerous.
Critical Conclusion
YHWH and Christianity do not teach the same path. They are opposites.
YHWH offers:
• Healing through obedience
• Peace through Torah
• Blessing through love
• Direct relationship
• Tangible results
Christianity's Greek god demands:
• Daily suffering
• Cross-bearing
• Rejection of blessings as evil
• Mediated relationship
• Spiritual abstractions
These are fundamentally different deities with opposite messages about life, blessing, and the path to divine favor.
